Terms

Draft — under review. These terms were written for the private beta and are pending legal counsel review. They are provided for transparency and are not yet a final, legally binding agreement.

These terms govern your use of the Kirk Ledger sealed-media service. By using the service, you agree to them. The service lets you encrypt files in your browser, store the resulting ciphertext with us, and anchor an integrity proof on the Base blockchain.

Beta — no warranty

The service is a private beta, provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. It is under active development and may change, be suspended, or be discontinued at any time. Do not rely on it as your sole system of record — keep your own copies of anything you seal.

Your content is your responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you seal and share, and for having the right to do so. Because the service is zero-knowledge, we cannot read, recover, or restore your plaintext or your keys. If you lose your key, your sealed content is unrecoverable.

On-chain anchor is permanent

When you seal content, a hash of its integrity proof is permanently committed to the Base blockchain. This anchor is immutable: it cannot be deleted, altered, or erased by you, by us, or by anyone else, including after account deletion. Do not anchor content if a permanent, public proof record is unacceptable to you.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service for unlawful or infringing content, to violate sanctions or anti-money-laundering laws, or to attempt to breach, overload, or circumvent its security and access controls. We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages or for loss of data, content, or keys. The service is not legal, financial, or compliance advice.
